Goodbye, Jean

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Cummings last Thursday. Jean had worked at Théâtre de l’Œil for nearly 40 years, both as a craftsman and as a puppeteer. He was a man with a heart like few others, a pillar and mentor to us all.
In recent years, Jean inspired us with his versatility and dedication. He was more than a colleague, he was a friend. He was someone you could always count on, someone who listened, and someone who had an infectious sense of humour and laughter. He was an extraordinary and incomparable man, who left his mark on the world of puppetry with his masterful hands and unparalleled interpretation.
Thank you for everything, Jean. We wish you continued tinkering up there, in a workshop worthy of your ambitions and talent. ????
